What We Believe

Our Mission Statement

The Mission of this church is to worship God in word and deed; to celebrate the Sacraments; to realize Christian fellowship; celebrate unity in diversity; to render loving service to people both within and beyond the community of faith, reaching out to the poor and oppressed and all who are in need; to assist persons learning and growing in the faith; to make the Gospel relevant to the lives of persons who seek the grace of Jesus Christ; to invite others to share the costs and joys of being Christ’s disciples; to strive for justice and peace in our community and the world; and to employ our God-given spiritual gifts and talents in the service and work of Jesus Christ.

Statement of Faith

We believe in the Bible as the infallible Word of God, containing all things necessary for salvation. We believe in the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and in the blessed hope that comes through the redemptive work of Jesus Christ. We believe in the sacraments of Communion and Baptism and in the Apostles and Nicene Creeds. We believe all people are worthy of the Good News of Jesus Christ and the love and forgiveness he brings.

  • We help families who have experienced disaster.
  • We provide financial assistance to:
  • The Salvation Army
  • The Shining Light Garden Foundation

Our local food pantry provides Thanksgiving meals to 100 families in need in the Sebastian area every year. Our congregation contributed over 100 cans of sweet potatoes.

Also: Dozens of quilts are donated each year to families in need by our Quilts of Many Colors

Internationally:

  • Haiti

Our Haiti Missions in Pilate include: Potter's Hand Children's Center, the Pilate hospital and area farmers and families.
Monetary donations help us provide: boxes of clothes and toys, water purifiers, a generator, medicine, mattresses, clothes washer and dryer, shop sink, cases of surgical gloves and instruments, baby formula, and seeds, tools, shovels.

You can also sponsor a child for $30.00 a month. Please contact the church office for details.

  • Africa

We also accept donations for  Pastor Winston Matafwali in Zambia.  Donations allow us to provide mosquito nets, church supplies, Bibles and Vacation Bible School supplies.

We also assist in putting together food packages for the annual 'Feed My Starving Children' event. Members of our youth group, the God Squad, accompanied adult Church members and friends to the Missionary Flights International hanger in Ft. Pierce, where we helped pack 215 food boxes containing 46,000 meals. Each meal costs only 20 cents, so $80 worth of food can feed a child for a year! These particular boxes were flown to Haiti to benefit impoverished children there.

Our Church supports our Messianic Jewish brothers and sisters here locally and in Israel. Please click on the link below to see a wonderful list of teachings and Bible truths from Rabbi Baruch. As always, we encourage you to support LoveIsrael.org and their efforts to reach Jews in Israel who have yet come to know Jesus as their Savior.
